Service Description: Provides financial assistance and other benefits to eligible people with disabilities and their families * this can include accommodation and basic living expenses as well as prescription drugs and basic dental care * ODSP recipients may also be eligible to receive additional benefits, such as: eyeglasses, hearing aids, special diet allowance, diabetic products, ostomy products, surgical products, transportation required to attend medical appointments, wheelchair and mobility product repairs and batteries, guide dog allowance, back to school and winter clothing allowances for dependent children, community start up maintenance benefit, employment start up benefit and emergency home repairs * employment supports are also provided for people with disabilities who are able to, and want to work, competitively which means at least minimum wage, part time, full time, contract, or self employed * employment supports lets the person choose the services they need to become employed, and provides funding to buy the supports they need * various types of supports that may be funded, including the following: employment planning, career exploration, job trials, unpaid work experience, skills training, job coaching, job search, technical aids, and interpreters
