Service Description: Child development services provided in partnership with families and communities

Feeding Clinic - Multidisciplinary assessment, consultation and treatment

Pediatrician consultation, assessment and diagnostic services * advocacy for the provision of medical services as needed 

Developmental Pediatrics - Medical specialists work closely with the patient's Family Physician or General Paediatrician * Developmental Paediatricians provide some treatment for conditions related to developmental disorders, e.g. gastroesophageal (acid) reflux, spasticity (stiffness in the muscles) * some sleep related issues * and some types of behavioural issues
 
Hydrotherapy Program - Pool therapy at St Mary's of the Lake Hospital
 
Myelodysplasia Team - Rehabilitation treatment plans and follow-up through childhood and adolescence to monitor medical, physical, and financial needs
 
Neuromuscular Team - Multidisciplinary assessment and intervention * follows the child's health and therapy needs from diagnosis until his or her transition to adult services * families also receive education, emotional support and assistance in accessing financial or other community resources
 
Occupational Therapy - Occupational therapy  * speech language therapy may be
 
Physiotherapy - Designated Physiotherapy Clinic - Physiotherapy for children provided in clinic settings, in schools, and when necessary in the child's residence
 
Psychology - Psychology services
 
School Health Program - Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech-Language Pathology services provided to students of the Child Development Centre who continue to need therapy during the school year * provided at school
 
Seating Clinic - Prescription, assessment and fitting of seating and medical products for children
 
Social Work - Social Work services
 
Speech Language Therapy - Helps children communicate * assesses both the sounds that the child uses and what the child understands, and also what words they use
