Service Description:
|
Specialized inpatient unit offering
- psychiatric medical services
- therapy
- family-centered care
- crisis stabilization
- linkage to ongoing services to meet the needs of children or youth and their family
Most inpatient stays are either:
- 24 to 48 hours, for those who need short-term support to resolve a crisis; or
- a few days or more, for those whose mental health difficulties need to be assessed and diagnosed, and treatments recommended

Application:

In-patients services: Go to the Emergency Department * a Regional Psychiatric Emergency Team member will assess the patient and recommend admission to an in-patient unit, if required

Children and youth 17 years and under with complex and severe mental health issues
