Service Description:
|
Utilizes a bio-psychosocial approach to assessment and treatment
- Inpatient bed unit
- Outpatient service: Young Adult Service targeted to those within the first five years of a diagnosed psychotic illness, providing consultation * assessment * treatment * rehabilitation * community reintegration support
- Transitional Day Hospital: Intensive, individualized and goal-oriented program including education, and a social and recreational group post-discharge
- Ongoing support through the Royal Assertive Community Treatment Team and the Step Down Program
- Case Management Services (partnership with Mental Health Community Support Services)
- Education and Research Unit studying initiatives in the areas of psycho-pharmacology, psychosocial influences, neurocognition and family history

A physician referral is needed for acceptance into the Royal's Schizophrenia Program * referral to The Royal Assertive Community Treatment Team is through the Central Intake Officer at 613-722-6521 ext 7325
