Service Description: Hospice Lennox & Addington is a community-based, non-profit organization that assists and supports clients, caregivers, and their families living with life-threatening illnesses, and offers bereavement care after loss. Our staff and volunteers work as part of an interdisciplinary team with community partners to provide holistic care that addresses physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and practical needs. All services listed below are offered free of charge.

Visiting Volunteer Program - Companionship, support, and respite provided by trained staff and volunteers in the home, hospital, and long-term care homes.

Adult Bereavement Support - One-on-one and/or group support offered to those experiencing grief.

Caregiver Support - One-on-one and/or group support offered to those caring for a loved one.

Hospital Bed Loan Program - Hospital beds available for loan delivered to your house.

Equipment Cupboard - Equipment available for loan such as walkers and wheelchairs.

Palliative Care & Bereavement Resources - A large selection of books, DVDs, and CDs about hospice palliative care and bereavement. Care journals provided.

Mobile Bereavement Boxes - Resources for children made available through schools in our community.

Patient & Family Support – onsite support provided at LACGH.

Douglas Thompson Children’s Wish Fund - A fund that grants small-scale, life-enhancing wishes for children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
