Service Description: Audiological and speech pathology (evaluate and treat people who have communication disorders) services on an outpatient basis

Fees: Hearing test fees are covered by OHIP * Set fees for hearing aid evaluations * free Speech Language Pathology evaluations
Application: Many of the referrals come from physicians * for audiology * dysphagia * voice * head and neck (laryngectomy) a physician referral verbal or written is needed
Waiting Period: Audiology is usually 6-8 weeks * speech depends on the disorder and can be 2-12 months
Eligibility / Target Population: Audiology patients can be any age from newborn to adult * speech pathology provides majority of their services to preschool speech and language * adult services is limited to voice * laryngectomy and dysphasia

Language Notes: Interpretive services can be arranged
