The following organizations provide support for individuals and families dealing with elder abuse.
Kingston-Frontenac Council On Aging

Elder Abuse Prevention Support Line
Anyone can call the support line when elder abuse is suspected. Calls are taken by volunteers who are trained to provide information, options and resources.The Council also provides educational presentations on elder abuse and safe and secure aging.

Provincial Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse
Regional Consultants work across the province, to coordinate community response to elder abuse by working with and supporting local elder abuse networks, building capacity through training of front-line workers/service providers and raising awareness of the complexities of elder abuse issues with the public through education and events like
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Vulnerable Sector Unit
Works with community partners to investigate incidents of elder abuse, neglect, fraud and power of attorney abuses. Physical and financial safety education can also be provided.
The "Seniors" section
provides information that deals with issues and topics related to seniors.

Government funded home health and support services
If the patient is currently receiving services from Ontario Health atHome, the calls/enquiry will be directed to the patient’s Care Coordinator. If they are not receiving services from Home and Community Support Services South East, the call/enquiry can be directed to an intake Care Coordinator or a member of the Elder Abuse Resource Team. Ontario Health atHome's Elder Abuse Policy will guide how reports of abuse are addressed or referred to other services that can help, always respecting the patient’s wishes and consent.
