Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a long-term lung disease causing the airways to become blocked, making breathing difficult. The two most common forms of COPD are emphysema (damaged air sacs in the lungs) and chronic bronchitis (airways clogged with mucus).
