Service Description:
|
Harm reduction health centre with an emphasis on communities marginalized from mainstream health care services * health professionals assess and treat non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses * referrals to other local health services and personal development groups * team includes nurse practitioners, registered nurses, doctors, counsellors, support workers, and administrative personnel
Harm Reduction Supplies
- Confidential service for people using injection drugs * access to clean, free, sterile products (rigs, works) * provides a variety of needles and syringes, as well as sterile water and alcohol prep pads * outreach also provided * recovers and receives used needles at their site and through outreach

Hepatitis C Program
- Peer support group assists people newly diagnosed with Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) * support * education * raise awareness * prevention

Opioid Substitution Therapy - OST
- Care for people living with opioid dependence (use of illicit opioids such as morphine, heroin, Dilaudid® or OxyContin®) * clinic combines doctors, nurses, counsellors and onsite medication administration

Peer Support Kingston Outreach Program
- Assists marginalized persons, such as the homeless, in need of help with day-to-day living
