Service Description: Opportunities for patients and caregivers to socialize and help each other by sharing ideas and experiences

Services and activities for those affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS):
  • information and referral
  • educational program for health professionals
  • public education
  • medical equipment loans program
  • support group meetings for patients and their caregivers
  • guest speakers provide insight and information on various topics of interest
  • accepts donations of gently used medical equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, hospital beds, lift chairs, and hoyer lifts; pick-ups can be arranged and tax receipts are provided



Fees: Set fees * none for support group
Application: Registration with the Society is normally done at the time of diagnosis * To donate medical equipment, call or send an email with the following information: equipment type (description, including manufacturer, model), approximate age of equipment (in years), first and last name, email address, and telephone number
Eligibility / Target Population: ALS patients must register with the society
