Where to get help
Who you contact for help will depend on the situation i.e. whether a senior lives in a retirement home, long-term care home, or in the community, or whether they are mentally incapable, and if the complainant wishes to remain anonymous. The following situations will guide you in finding help.
The senior lives in a retirement home or long-term care home
The senior lives in the community
The senior is mentally incapable
I want to remain anonymous
Aside from the abuse I think a criminal or illegal activity has occured
I don't fit into any of the above categories, or I'm not sure and I just want to talk to somebody
